It is not mandatory to have an Election ID to vote, you can use other identity proof as your identity but you need to enrol your name in order to vote. Below are the procedures.
1. New Registration:
If you are 18 years and older, and as long as you are an Indian Citizen, you are eligible to vote. Here are procedures to enrol your name
Please Note:
Before you apply make sure, you have scanned necessary documents in JPEG/JPG/PNG/BMP format.
-Passport size photograph
-Age Proof (Birth Certificate/Indian Passport/PAN Card/DL/Aadhar)
-Address Proof (Passport/DL/Ration Card/Water Bill/ Telephone Bill/Electricity Bill/Gas Connection Bill/Rent Agreement/Income tax assessment order/Bank Passbook/Post office current passbook/Kisan)
Once you submit the application, a reference number will be generated and it will be shown on the screen and also you will get reference number through SMS. Make sure that write down for future reference.
2.Correction:
If you have any correction in Election card, then you can submit an online application using http://www.nvsp.in/Forms/Forms/form8 Fill all the necessary details.

3.Track your Application Progress:

Do not know what is your part number or serial number or which assembly you belong to or other details? (Only for existing Election ID holder) If so, then
Either you can search by Name or by EPIC number. EPIC number is nothing but your Electoral Photo ID i.e. Voter ID number.
